Gerard (Jerry) Guillorn Joins Tunnell Consulting As Group Vice President, Business Development

Tunnell Consulting, Inc. today announced that Gerard (Jerry) J. Guillorn has joined the firm as Group Vice President, Business Development for its Life Sciences Commercial business. Drawing on his extensive experience in developing business with life sciences clients, he is responsible for leading and growing the business development function, acquiring new accounts and for working closely with existing Tunnell clients to make sure their consulting needs are being met.

“Jerry brings strong personal industry relationships, a proven record of leadership, a thorough understanding of global commercial operations, and relevant experience working with life sciences clients, all of which will help Tunnell continue to grow long-term, mutually beneficial client relationships,” said Conrad J. Heilman, Jr., PhD, President and CEO of Tunnell. “In addition, his experience with biotechnology clients will be especially valuable to the firm and to our clients as they increasingly focus their efforts and future on large molecule based products.”

Over the course of his career he has worked with clients representing most of the leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms in the world. Prior to joining Tunnell, he served as Executive Vice President, Global Account Management, Life Sciences for the M+W Group, a leading global engineering and construction firm specializing in high tech manufacturing facilities. Previously, he was Vice President, Sector Development for the general contracting and construction firm, Structure Tone, where he focused on business development in the life sciences, healthcare, and higher education market sectors. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President, Science & Technology / Life Sciences for Skanska USA Building Inc., ranked as the number one constructor for the pharmaceutical industry. He also served in a number of senior roles for EI Associates, a full service architecture, engineering, and construction management firm with a heavy concentration in the pharmaceutical industry. Jerry is an active member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), where he has contributed to the Laboratory Baseline Guide, has been a speaker at numerous local, national and international conferences, and is a past president of the NJ Chapter.
