Hanover, Maryland (PRWEB) June 08, 2015
Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s largest legal search firm, announced today the opening of its new Minneapolis/St. Paul office. The addition of the Minneapolis/St. Paul office expands the firm’s footprint in the Midwest.
Brian McMahon will lead the new office as Managing Director, representing associate attorneys, individual partners and partner groups in the lateral marketplace and executing focused searches for law firm clients. He joins MLA after practicing law in the Twin Cities for 15 years, first as an associate and partner at Gray Plant Mooty and then running his own law firm. In his new role, Brian will strive to help attorneys and law firms by counseling and guiding them through the recruitment process.
“Since the economic recovery began, we have seen an increase in lateral activity in many major U.S. markets, including the Twin Cities,” said Simon Robinson, President, Major, Lindsey & Africa. “This presents the perfect opportunity for MLA to enter the market and meet the demand for highly specialized legal search services. Brian’s experience practicing law in the Twin Cities and his active participation in a number of local bar associations make him an ideal person to oversee our efforts in this market.”
Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, Brian received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1991. After working four years for General Mills, he attended law school at William Mitchell College of Law. Brian is the President-Elect of the Ramsey County Bar Association and is its former Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President. He is also serving his second term on the Second Judicial District Ethics Committee.
Brian lives in St. Paul with his wife and daughter. He is the Vice Chair for the Cretin-Derham Hall High School Board of Directors. Brian can be reached at email@example.com.
