IMP Consulting Showcases Thought Leadership on Compliance and Technology at Two Leading Industry Events
Boston, MA (PRWEB) June 11, 2015 -- IMP Consulting today announced that the company has been selected to provide its leadership and expertise in compliance and technology while presenting at two upcoming industry events. Jane Stabile, President of IMP Consulting, and Gigi Szekely, Director of Compliance at IMP, are among a select group of industry leaders invited to speak at TSAM New York and NSCP Northeast.
Ms. Stabile will join the Technology & Operational Strategy track at TSAM, while addressing the topic of “Opportunities and Limits of an Outsourced Operating Model.” Ms. Stabile, with over 25 years of experience in financial services, will moderate an interactive discussion on areas including key considerations before engaging with outsource suppliers, SaaS vs. local hosting, implementation pitfalls and the secrets of a successful SLA.
Ms. Szekely, Director of Compliance at IMP, will participate in the keynote panel discussion, “Regulatory, Regulations and the Endeavor to Keep Your Company Compliant” alongside other key buy-side compliance experts. The session will be conducted at TSAM as part of the Performance Measurement & Investment Risk track.
TSAM Congress & Expo is a global series of events for the investment management community, focused on technological innovation and operational effectiveness. TSAM will be held on June 18th at the NY Marriott, Brooklyn Bridge, in New York.
Additionally, Ms. Szekely has been invited to join the NSCP panel on Alternative Mutual Funds (“Liquid Alts”): A New Investment for Retail Clients. Ms. Szekely, a former Chief Compliance Officer with over 15 years of senior management experience, will share her insights on governance, fund management, disclosure and marketing as it relates to what investment managers and funds need to be aware of based on the SEC’s examination sweep of liquid alternative funds.
"The growth of alternative mutual funds has drawn the attention of the SEC and its staff and has been a recent focus during regulatory examinations,” said Gigi Szekely, Director of Compliance at IMP Consulting. "The concern being that investment managers that manage strategies generally associated with hedge funds or private funds are trying to employ the same strategies using alternative mutual funds which are subject to the restrictions pursuant to Investment Company Act of 1940."
NSCP Northeast Investment Company Compliance Forum is a one-day event providing a comprehensive review on current investment company regulatory issues for both compliance industry professionals and service providers in the financial services industry. The event will be held on June 11th at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston in Boston, Massachusetts.
