Tampa, Fla. (PRWEB) June 10, 2015
The American Association for Physician Leadership® invites doctors to submit proposals for poster presentations on non-traditional career paths for physicians and physician leaders. The best ideas will be presented during the Fall Institute, Nov. 13-17, 2015, at the Scottsdale Fairmont Princess in Scottsdale, Arizona.
We’re looking for breakout thinking on how a medical background can be used to forge a new career. Doctor as entrepreneur, as venture capitalist, as engineering firm linchpin. Or as biotech consultant, talk-show host or architect. There are many places a medical mind can soar.
We want to see and hear how physicians have accomplished their transitions, and so do participants at our Fall Institute, physician leaders at all levels in health care and beyond.
The review committee encourages submissions within and outside of the association’s membership.
To apply, physicians will submit their names and contact information, a title, a 150-250 word abstract for their proposals and bio information. Commercial and promotional presentations will not be considered. All possible conflicts of interest must be disclosed at the time of application and may disqualify a candidate.
Applicants can find the form here. The deadline for proposals is July 13, 2015. Applicants will be notified by email no later than Aug. 14, 2015.
Presenters chosen for the institute may elect to attend a course of their choosing during the institute. The poster presentations will span the weekend, Nov. 14-15, 2015. Potential presenters may contact Semsara Prevo at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
