Kalamazoo, MI July 8 & 9, 2015 — A New York City Fireman will be presenting Migala Carpet One a piece of steel from the wreckage of 9/11. The public is invited to the presentation which will be performed on 7/8/2015 at Migala Carpet One, 8646 Shaver Road, Portage, MI 49024 at 3:30 pm and on 7/9/2015 at Migala Carpet One, 6400 Gull Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49048 at 10:00 am. Migala Carpet One is being presented with this honor in appreciation for supporting Building for America’s Bravest, a program of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which builds customized homes for our severely wounded veterans.
Migala Carpet One is part of the international cooperative of Carpet One Floor & Home who in partnership with Mohawk Industries, a flooring manufacturer, has committed to providing flooring for all of the homes constructed by Building for America’s Bravest through 2016. Migala Carpet One is a family run business being led by sisters, Lori Ruimveld and Vicki VanDenBerg. Their grandfather, Dewey VanDenBerg, and father, Jack VanDenBerg, started their flooring business in 1959. The family business of offering high quality flooring plus expert installations to their customers has continued for 56 years through three generations.
