Diane Molokotos of Aegis Energy Services will be a featured speaker during the “Scoring LEED® Points with CHP” webinar to be held on Wednesday, July 22 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Co-hosted by the EPA CHP Partnership (CHPP) and the CHP Association (CHPA), the webinar is designed to highlight the LEED® point impact CHP can have on buildings seeking LEED® certification.

Aegis Energy Services is a full service Combined Heat and Power developer that manufactures and installs modular systems. Combined Heat and Power (CHP), also known as cogeneration, is an efficient, clean, and reliable technology which simultaneously generates electricity and thermal energy from a single fuel source.

Combined Heat and Power systems, like the Aegen ThermoPower 75kW developed by Aegis Energy Services, have proven to reduce both energy costs and emissions for a variety of facilities, from healthcare and assisted living facilities, to recreational and multi-residential complexes, and hotels. There are also institutional, educational, and industrial facility applications.

And, because of its superior energy efficiency and lower energy cost, CHP can earn buildings seeking LEED® certification significant LEED® points.

The webinar will focus on the following topics:

  • The significant LEED® point impact CHP can have on buildings seeking LEED® certification
  • How CHP is accounted for in the LEED® for Building Design and Construction: New Construction
  • The contribution of modern absorption chillers to efficient building design and a building’s LEED® score
  • Case studies of successful CHP systems that helped buildings meet LEED® certification goals

Participants can register online for the webinar through this link.
