DPCI upgrades module to take advantage of features in the newly released version of Adobe Digital Publishing Solution

DPCI, an interactive technology agency that helps organizations create, publish, enrich and deliver content to Web, print, mobile, and tablet devices, today announced the updated release of DPSBridge, a Drupal contributed module maintained by DPCI, that allows customers of the new Adobe Digital Publishing Solution (DPS) to upload Web content from Drupal into DPS apps as HTML Articles. With this newest release, DPCI has reengineered the module following Drupal module development best practices, while also incorporating new features in support of the newest version of Adobe Digital Publishing Solution released yesterday.

With DPSBridge, DPCI further extends its multi-channel offering by connecting Drupal and Adobe Digital Publishing Solution to provide an easier process for delivering Web original content to tablet and mobile devices. From Drupal’s administration interface, users can search and select the desired Drupal articles which the module then converts into HTML and uploads the articles directly to the Adobe Digital Publishing Solution Portal by utilizing the Content Producer APIs. In addition, users can add Adobe Digital Publishing Solution metadata for each article and can also assign their own CSS to style the resulting HTML article for display within the DPS app. Further, with the newest version of DPSBridge, users can now create collections and add, remove and reorder the articles contained within each collection.

All of this functionality and more is accessed directly from within Drupal’s administration interface without having to jump out to the desktop or another application interface.

“We are very excited to see DPCI take the lead in connecting Drupal to Adobe Digital Publishing Solution. This integration will benefit many customers and we look forward to see a vibrant group within the Drupal community supporting DPS,” said Nick Bogaty, senior director, head of digital publishing at Adobe.

The DPSBridge module currently supports Drupal version 7.x. DPCI pledges to have a Drupal 8.x version out within 6 months of the release of Drupal 8. To find out more about DPSBridge, as well as to download a beta version of the module from the Drupal community site, please go to the project page on drupal.org.
