dB Noise Reduction’s president, John Praskey, will be presenting his technical paper titled "A practical guide to the specification and selection of vent and blowdown silencers" at the 44th International Congress and Exposition on Noise Control Engineering. This year the congress will be held in San Francisco, California, USA from the 9th to the 12th of August, 2015.

At this congress, focused on the implementation of noise control technology and methodologies, dB Noise Reduction’s president, John Praskey, will present his paper to experts from the noise control industry, as well as, equipment specifiers. According to Praskey his paper “presents a vent silencer specification data sheet and discusses each of the important fields in it.”

As he attends this congress for the first time he hopes that his presentation will provide a better understanding of the factors involved and the information needed to specify vent silencers. Praskey commented “Only a few companies manufacture vent silencers and many people in the industry are unclear on how to select them. This paper provides an organized and easy method of coming up with the appropriate silencer for applications, without over or under doing it.”

Praskey’s paper will be distributed to the attendees of Inter.Noise 2015.
