Stanley Consultants has expanded its Florida transportation planning staff in response to an increase in transportation planning studies, and National Environment Policy Act (NEPA) / Project Development and Environment (PD&E) studies.
Senior Transportation Engineer Joe DeFronzo and Engineer-in-Training Linda Ferreira have joined the Transportation and Traffic Planning Department in the company’s West Palm Beach Office. Stanley Consultants is a global consulting engineering firm with Florida offices in West Palm Beach, Tampa, Sarasota, and Miami.
A licensed professional engineer in Florida and Nevada, DeFronzo has over 25 years of transportation engineering and project management experience. His area of expertise includes PD&E studies, corridor studies, traffic impact studies, traffic calming, and complete streets projects.
Ferreira initially joined the firm as a student intern in 2010 while pursuing her bachelors and masters degrees in civil engineering from Florida Atlantic University. With three years of engineering experience completed, she set off on an 18-month self-guided hike around the globe. She returned to Stanley Consultants after completing her adventure and has expanded her experience conducting PD&E studies, traffic/safety studies, environmental contamination reviews, scour analysis, and highway design.
Bill Evans, P.E., is manager of the growing Transportation and Traffic Planning Department, and Associate Chief Transportation Engineer. He is one of Florida’s most accomplished PD&E project managers with nearly 30 years of planning experience with complex expressways, urban arterials, multimodal and complete streets projects that required professional leadership during public involvement events, interacting with the landholders, businesses, and residential communities. “We provide consistent professional project delivery and work to create strong relationships that really help to bond our project teams with our clients,” said Evans.
In 2013, Stanley Consultants celebrated its 100th year of client service. One of the top engineering firms in the country, it is ranked 66th in Engineering News-Record magazine’s annual rankings of design firms in the nation.
