The “Make It Home” Day of Service Distribution Event celebrates the official launch of Good360’s new DisasterRecovery360 platform. Recipient individuals and families have been pre-selected by Good360’s local nonprofit partners and will pick up the donated mattresses and foundations from Camp ReStore in New Orleans. The Ford Foundation has provided funding to cover transportation for those who are unable to provide their own, and City Year – Baton Rouge will provide volunteers to distribute the mattresses and foundations.
The event spotlights the challenges of long-term disaster recovery. The new DisasterRecovery360 platform will enable Good360 to address immediate needs at the site of a disaster by distributing critical supplies quickly and efficiently both immediately following a disaster and throughout the full recovery process. Developed with support from Walmart and The UPS Foundation, DisasterRecovery360 officially launches on September 1st.
