Billings Advertising & Marketing, a professional development group for marketing, advertising and public relations professionals in the Billings, Montana area, is launching its 2015-2016 year in September with significant announcements impacting the advertising community.
“We have an exciting BAM year ahead for our members with excellent national, regional and local speakers on our schedule. To top it off, we have a brand new, state-of-the art website designed by our partners at Webgrain, and a new luncheon meeting location at the Billings Petroleum Club,” says BAM President Cathy Grider. “Every business and organization has a need for marketing, advertising and PR. BAM exists as a professional development organization to help those businesses and organizations stay on top of the latest trends in the marketing industry while connecting with local, regional and national industry professionals.”
The new website address is http://www.billingsbam.com and features current individual and corporate members and a link for non-members to join BAM. The website includes many options for members to get involved in the club, including professional development meetings, networking meet ups, entering advertising and video competitions and joining a board committee. Members and guests can RSVP to monthly luncheon and mixer/networking meetings directly from the website. The monthly luncheon meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Billings Petroleum Club and feature industry speakers. The luncheon meetings are a professional development and networking opportunity. The website also features additional networking opportunities, including 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. mixers and morning coffee meet up options.
“BAM club is for our members. We’re listening to our membership and at their request, we’ve added multiple new networking and volunteer opportunities this year,” says BAM Vice President Dianne Parker. “From sitting on board committees to joining fellow members at fun after hours mixers that may involve wine + marketing, we’ve really aimed to meet our member’s goals and we encourage all members to become involved in a networking/volunteer capacity.”
The 2015-2016 BAM year kicks off September 8th and features national speaker Nicole Dowson with Epsilon out of Chicago. The topic is Global Ad Agency Insight, Branding Nissan & Beyond. The first mixer of the year is September 10th at Trailhead Spirits and features the owners of Trailhead Spirits and Parker’s Hangover Tonic. The owners are set to speak about marketing Made in Montana products while attendees enjoy a Made in Montana Bloody Mary Bar. The first coffee meet up of the year is September 23rd at Off the Leaf Coffee Co. and coffee talk will center around PR strategy.
BAM members also elected the 2015-2016 board of directors. One of the founding members of BAM is the newly appointed Lt. Governor of Montana for District XI of AAF. BAM Past President, Sara Becker, who is the Advertising & Public Relations Manager at First Interstate Bank, took on the role in fall of 2015. Becker is also the former Executive Director of the Great Falls Ad Club.
