In Time for Back-to-School, Students Who Install Password Boss by the End of September Receive a Free One-Year Premium Subscription

Password Boss today announced a special program for college students to receive a Password Boss Premium subscription at no charge. Password Boss is a password manager and digital wallet designed for anyone who has trouble remembering their passwords. Through the end of September, students who install and register with Password Boss receive a one-year premium subscription at no charge.

According to a Harris Interactive survey of 2,030 U.S. adults conducted for Password Boss1, the most common method that American consumers use to manage passwords for their online accounts is simply their memory (63 percent). The survey also found that younger consumers, age 18-24, are the most likely to use memory as their primary way of managing passwords (74 percent of males and 76 percent of females). The fact that most consumers really have no system to manage their accounts other than memory or pen and paper suggests these methods are easier than most tools available.

Password Boss is simple to use, giving consumers a superior level of control over how they manage their passwords and personal information. The app is the only free password manager that allows people to store an unlimited number of passwords, choose where their data is securely stored and share any item in their account with anyone they choose. It is available for download on Windows PCs and tablets, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices.

“College students are among the consumers living most of their lives online,” said Password Boss founder and CEO Steve Wise. “College is also a time when bad password habits can form. As a result, we’re very pleased to offer Password Boss Premium at no charge to college students to safely login to websites, access their accounts and shop online.”

Password Boss features include a secure Password Vault, bank-grade security, synchronization across devices, a Digital Wallet with automatic form-filling, secure sharing of any data with trusted family members and friends, a personal security score, personal ID storage and secure internet browsing. Password Boss is built with the highest level of security to ensure that consumers are the only ones with access to their data. At the same time, it was designed to make it as easy as possible for everyday consumers to improve their security habits in a world where they are increasingly exposed to internet security threats.
