Draper, UT (PRWEB) August 27, 2015
Bruges Waffles & Frites invites you to celebrate National Waffle Week, Aug. 31 – Sept. 5, 2015. The local restaurant chain is offering a National Waffle Week special – a Liège waffle topped with crème fraîche for just $2 – in commemoration of the opening of it’s newest location in Draper, Utah. National Waffle Week is an annual event that takes place each year during the first week of September. The new Draper restaurant is located at 541 East 12300 South.
“We are delighted to open our fourth location in Draper,” Bruges Waffles & Frites founder Pierre Vandamme said. “And what better week to celebrate our Grand Opening than National Waffle Week!”
Belgian native Vandamme launched the Belgian restaurant concept with co-founder Philippe Wyfflels in 2004 as a waffle cart at the Salt Lake City Farmer’s market. Based on that initial success, the company grew to include permanent restaurant locations in Salt Lake City, Sugar House, Provo, and now Draper. The company also began franchising earlier this year and is offering territories to interested candidates in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.
“It’s wonderful to see Bruges grow,” Wyffels said. “We are very pleased with the interest we are seeing from potential franchisees. We have found that there is a great deal of appeal in the uniqueness and authenticity of our Belgian food concept.”
The Draper location features newly developed interior design and decorating. The centerpiece is a wall-sized mural artwork developed by Belgian comic artist Adrien Noterdaem. The original comic art is drawn in the “Ligne Claire” style of the “école Franco-Belge” made famous through comics such as Tintin, Astérix and Obélix, and The Smurfs.
The Draper Bruges Waffles & Frites location is part of the Wasatch Group’s new development, The Village at Day Dairy.
