"We couldn't be prouder of our team of caregivers for the compassionate, quality care they work so hard to offer." – Kathy Owens, Chief Nursing Officer, Signature HealthCARE
Louisville, KY (PRWEB) August 28, 2015
Signature HealthCARE is proud to announce that more than 100 of its nursing and rehabilitation centers have received national accreditation for 2015 for actively performing Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities.
Signature is a long-term care, rehabilitation and health care provider with 126 locations in 10 states.
The accreditation, presented by independent accreditor Providigm, demonstrates that the facility is continually assessing residents’ quality of life with regard to concerns such as pain, dignity, respect for resident choice. The accreditation also considers quality of care matters such as adequate staffing, weight loss, infections, rehabilitation following acute injury or illness and prevention of hospital readmissions.
This year, Providigm unveiled an Advanced Accreditation, which identifies nursing facilities with an “extremely thorough and consistent process of quality improvement work,” according to Providigm. Several Signature facilities also received the Embracing Quality Award, which is granted for centers with outstanding results in at least one of three categories: Customer Satisfaction, Prevention of Hospital Readmissions and Deficiency-Free Survey.
“We couldn’t be prouder of our team of caregivers for the compassionate, quality care they work so hard to offer, which is reflected by this accreditation,” said Kathy Owens, Chief Nursing Officer for Signature. “These accreditations also demonstrate Signature’s commitment to becoming a valued partner to providers from every facet of health care as our nation’s health care system continues to undergo massive change with a heightened focus on quality improvement.”
