“Everything we do takes place at the most granular level possible, and that’s what allows us to drive growth for our clients,” said Nicholas Ward, President of Koddi.

Today Koddi announced an enhancement to its travel metasearch optimization platform that will enable the world’s most sophisticated metasearch advertisers to gain deeper insights into cross-device and regional trends. The Explore functionality - now being offered to beta clients - allows marketers to interact with large complex data sets in real time.
Without Koddi, advertisers have to sew reporting together from disparate sources. The data can be complex and often needs to be transformed into another format to be ready for analysis. This process can be expensive and slow moving, and has no guarantee of accuracy. By contrast, Koddi automates reporting, analysis, and optimization for clients, thereby enabling them to focus on growing their business in a critical channel. “Metasearch bookings are up 10x over last year for some our clients,” said Nicholas Ward, President of Koddi.
“Everything we do takes place at the most granular level possible, and that’s what allows us to drive growth for our clients,” said Ward. “We’re at a fascinating point. We can deliver huge amounts of data to our partners quickly, but we’re finding bottlenecks when it comes to consumption, understanding, and insight. Koddi Explore is the next logical step for us as we help clients identify complex trends and act on them programmatically.”
Focusing on insight is not a new trend for Koddi, which launched its Insights functionality earlier this year to help clients explain why things were happening in campaigns. Insights software plugs into the Koddi core platform and proactively finds standout events and seeks to explain them automatically.
“Insights can save users 30 minutes or more of analysis per use. Our clients used to see an event - let’s say hotel bookings went up by 17% day over day - and then dig into the data to try to explain why this happened, what causes came together to achieve the result, whether it would sustain, and what they should do about it going forward. By using Insights, users can get right to what they need and move forward with their day,” said Trent Cockerham, Koddi’s Director of Product.
The two systems work together to help Koddi clients move quickly while staying informed. Enterprise advertisers can take advantage of the core platform and Insights to help answer what is going on at the auction level as users engage with ads.
Explore was built for a different purpose; to understand where the market is going and how advertisers should be positioning budgets, campaigns, and offers in the future.
“Explore helps understand how users are behaving across devices, platforms, and publishers. On mobile, we can literally watch share shifting from the weekday to the weekend and from channel to channel. Interestingly, this trend isn’t as pronounced for some of our clients that have budget hotels in their portfolio, which has downstream impact on goals, strategies, and tactics. That is the type of profound understanding we’re trying to encourage with Koddi Explore, and we’re just getting started,” said Ward.
