"A goal of our campaign was to breakthrough and touch the lives of consumers in meaningful ways,” stated Dale Baron, Starmark Executive Creative Director.
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) September 10, 2015
“Hello Sunny,” Starmark’s branding campaign for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB), has won the U.S Travel Association’s “Destiny Award” for Branding and Integrated Marketing Campaign.
The brand-defining campaign was originally created by Starmark to enhance Greater Fort Lauderdale’s refreshed positioning domestically and internationally. In the three years since its launch, the brand campaign has received numerous awards and achieved unprecedented success. The Destiny Award recognizes excellence and creative accomplishment in destination marketing.
The GFLCVB and Starmark also had another strong showing at the Visit Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism, capturing a total of seven awards including “Best of Show” for the “Love is Love” LGBT campaign. Since Fort Lauderdale is one of the premier wedding locations in the nation, an initiative was developed to commemorate the Florida Supreme Court’s marriage equality ruling, inviting 100 couples of all loves to exchange vows on the beach in February.
"A goal of our campaign was to breakthrough and touch the lives of consumers in meaningful ways,” stated Dale Baron, Starmark Executive Creative Director. “It is an honor to be recognized for the creativity as well as for being socially significant work. The connection created by the work will live on beyond the advertising. This is the essence of branding."
“We couldn’t be more proud of the team after being honored by these two renowned organizations,” said Lisa Hoffman, Starmark Chief Marketing Officer. “When you have a passionate group of people, complemented by a client who is willing to push the envelope, that’s when the magic happens.”
GFLCVB partners with Starmark for brand marketing and advertising. Together, the organizations have won the highest honor, “Best of Show,” from the Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism three out of the last four years.
“We are proud to have our creative recognized as the best destination marketing in the state of Florida,” said Starmark President Jacqui Hartnett. “Our collaboration with Greater Fort Lauderdale is an incredible synergy of marketing teams that are committed to making Greater Fort Lauderdale a top U.S. destination.”
