Pittcon Announces 2016 Short Course Program for Laboratory Professionals

Pittcon announces the course listing for the 2016 Short Course program. Topics include analytical methods in applications such as life science, water, environment, food science.

The Pittcon Short Course program is an affordable way for lab professionals to stay abreast of new techniques, continue their education, enhance skills and bring new efficiencies to the workplace.

Pittcon is pleased to announce the 2016 Short Courses (March 5-10). Courses, offered at beginner and intermediate levels, range from one-half day up to two-days. With more than 100 from which to choose, there are a wide variety of classes covering relevant analytical topics in food science, water/wastewater, environmental, life science, pharmaceutical to name a few. Courses for broad-based application and general lab functions include lab management, quality control, technical writing, statistics, data analysis and lab safety.

This year there are more than 35 new courses added in topics such as, but not limited to chromatography, environmental, analytical methods, nanotechnology and statistical methods.

Short Course Chairman Amit Ghosh commented, “The Pittcon Short Course program is an affordable way for lab professionals to stay abreast of new techniques, continue their education, enhance skills and bring new efficiencies to the workplace.” He adds, “Taking a course definitely adds value to the participant’s total Pittcon experience and many times, serves as justification for attending the conference and exposition.”

The Short Course Committee continues to evaluate the program each year and makes every effort to maintain the quality and affordability of the courses. Discounts are available for early registration, students and for attendees enrolling in three or more classes.
