Richfield Bloomington Honda Opens Country’s Second Largest Honda Facility

Richfield Bloomington Honda is celebrating the grand opening of its new 165,000-square-foot facility September 17, 2015.

“Along with the new Richfield Bloomington Mitsubishi, consumers have two great state-of-the-art dealerships to shop in one location,” Tom Wood Automotive owner Jeff Wood said.

Richfield Bloomington Honda is celebrating the grand opening of its new 165,000-square-foot facility September 17, 2015.

“In order to meet the needs of our growing client base, we built a larger, state-of-the-art, energy-efficient, updated facility,” General Manager Tim Carter said. “We look forward to continuing to provide great service to our customers at our new location.”

The new dealership, located at 501 W 77th Street in Richfield, will feature the following:

  • Two story, mezzanine new car show floor in the front featuring 11 models.
  • Increase in staff from 97 employees to 180 by the end of 2015.
  • Ten live car jewelry box highway display case.
  • Second story temperature controlled pre-owned inventory display.
  • Third story roof top parking for 140 vehicles.
  • Waste oil will be burned via specialized boiler, which feeds the entire hot water heating system throughout the facility, including in-slab radiant showroom and service floor heating.
  • The car wash utilizes a water system that recycles and reuses a majority of its water.
  • Energy reduction with LED light fixtures for both indoor and outdoor lighting.
  • Only metro dealership with sidewalk frontage creating that small town window shopping experience.

  • 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.: Tour of facility
  • 4 p.m.: Ribbon cutting ceremony
