“Placing SEA-RCH™ within Devonshire’s product offering is a logical and compelling move"
Westerly, Rhode Island (PRWEB) October 02, 2015
Devonshire, a leading provider of geospatial consumer and business information, today announced the acquisition of the SEA-RCH™ Media Market Planning product and related assets from New York-based Sales Evaluation Associates, Inc. Founded in 1982, SEA offers a range of products that have been designed specifically for media planners who must determine the most effective local search placements for their advertising. SEA has earned the trust of hundreds of Yellow Page publishers, agencies and advertisers who rely on their licensed media data, software, and proprietary media planning consulting services. This purchase is part of Devonshire’s wider strategy to produce, enhance, and deliver the most valuable geospatial information in the market.
“This acquisition is a natural progression of our investment in the growth and development of our integrated information solutions,” said Devonshire CEO, John Rafferty. “SEA, with its principal David Glazer, has been an innovator in the industry for years. Devonshire has the opportunity to secure a valuable asset, from a long-standing client, that is a complement to our portfolio of proprietary geospatial data,” he added.
This announcement follows the recent release of Devonshire’s 2015 Demographic and Econometric Data Series updates. Anchored by these geo-spatial offerings, Devonshire continues to provide the most comprehensive business and consumer information available with its Business dmPLUS™ and Consumer dmPLUS™ products as well as its proprietary Consumer LifeScape™ family of segmentation data.
“Placing SEA-RCH™ within Devonshire’s product offering is a logical and compelling move," said David Glazer, President of Sales Evaluation Associates. “I know Devonshire’s commitment to producing quality demographic and econometric data will mean continued success for users of the SEA-RCH™ system. I am delighted to leave our clients in Devonshire’s established and exceptional care.”
For over 30 years, leading agencies such as IPG, DAC Group, Berry Network, and SMG Local Spectrum, as well as publishers like HIBU, Dex Media and YP, have utilized SEA’s media market data. Combined with Devonshire’s client roster of major firms in media, retail, real estate, direct marketing and financial services, today’s news highlights Devonshire’s ability to bolster existing markets while expanding its capabilities and strengthening its overall position in the marketplace.
“Adding data to location and location to data is the foundation of all we do,” said John Rafferty. “This SEA-RCH™ acquisition makes our media data offering even stronger at a time when companies are looking to further leverage innovations in spatial data, particularly within local retail, real estate and media markets.”
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Devonshire and SEA customers can be assured that their usage of and access to their licensed data remains unchanged. While the integration of SEA-RCH™ data with Devonshire’s information portfolio is ongoing, both David Glazer and Devonshire are committed to working with SEA’s customers to ensure continuity moving forward.
