New for 2015 at the conference "Challenges Facing the Food & Beverage Industries in Complex Consumer Litigations," the Keynote lunch will feature a discussion on “Litigating the Red Hot BFY (Better For You) Marketplace” by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and author of the New York Times bestseller Salt Sugar Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us, Michael Moss. “We’re thrilled to add Michael to our line-up,” said Perrin Conferences President and CEO, Lynnsey Perrin. “The value he adds to the program is undeniable.”

This year’s conference, co-chaired by Faith R. Greenfield, Vice President – Legal, Campbell Soup Company, and Ronald J. Levine, Esq., Herrick, Feinstein LLP, features leading food and beverage companies and consumer litigation attorney experts offering their perspectives on a variety of timely issues and emerging trends in food and beverage litigation. Panels include an update on the GMO labeling statute pending before Congress; a discussion on the future of food; insight into labeling challenges; an overview of how to prepare for eDiscovery matters in food and beverage litigation; an update on recent developments in class action and food recall/product contamination litigation; and a “natural debate” discussion of the natural claim argument and whether that terminology can or should be used when genetically engineered ingredients or chemical sounding ingredients are used in food and beverage. Returning for 2015 is the perennially popular in-house counsel roundtable featuring a discussion of current issues by in-house legal professionals from Campbell Soup, Unilever, Nestle, General Mills, Sodexo and Landry’s Restaurants.

All Food & Beverage in-house counsel as well as both plaintiff and defense firms will want to attend this highly informative conference to become educated on the latest Consumer Fraud cases and gain insight on emerging trends in Food Litigation.
