Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products (EPP) North America introduces QplasTV.com (QplasTV), a new video platform designed to assist engineers, distributors, and OEM's in determining what grade(s) of high performance plastics to use for their specific application needs.

The portal features material family overviews, individual material reviews, expert machining tips, application case studies, and snippets of team members describing the intrinsic qualities of Quadrant high performance thermoplastics. Product videos are presented by the company's own technical experts—some of whom have been involved since the material R&D process. QplasTV presents information logically and accurately—focusing on verified post-manufacturing shape data instead of pre-manufactured resin data. QplasTV is a resource for engineers looking for reliable data on finished, post-processing stock shapes and more.

“It's a really powerful tool right at your fingertips,” said Jim Hebel, Quadrant’s Manager of Technical Service. “Our customers used to be reliant on data sheets. Now they can go in and watch a very short video about the characteristics and applications of an entire family of our materials.”

The development of QplasTV is just another example of Quadrant's ongoing commitment to leverage features of digital technologies in new and innovative ways that continue to simplify the process of engineering plastic material selection for their customers. As part of Quadrant EPP's multimedia blog site, PlasticPerspectives.com, the video platform can be found alongside other tools and resources; an engineer authored Blog featuring the industry’s hottest topics, an Events section with online registration to Quadrant's Aviation, Aerospace, & Defense Symposium (QAADS 2015) and their free on-site Lunch & Learn engineering seminars, the Quadrant Plastics Selector smartphone app, Newsroom, Social Media hub and more.
