2016 iaedp Symposium Brings Out Nation’s Leading Eating Disorder Professionals

The International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp™) kicks off its 30th annual Symposium February 18 - 21 at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort in Amelia Island, Fla., featuring nationally recognized professionals addressing new treatments and research concerning eating disorders.

The keynote faculty provides the extraordinary training sessions and instructive presentations during the four-day Symposium.

Moderating the first keynote panel discussion during the Symposium’s Opening Lunch on Thursday, Feb.18 will be S. Roy Erlichman, PhD, CAP, CEDS, F.iaedp. The discussion titled “Mission Impossible: Remaining Hopeful When the Case Is Not” also includes eating disorder specialists Emmett Bishop MD, CEDS, FAED, F.iaedp, Pamela Trout MD, FAAP, CEDS, Christie Caggiani RD/LDN, CEDRD and Michelle Moore MA, LMHC.

Dr. Erlichman is a graduate of the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis and completed the certification program in family therapy at the Department of Family Psychiatry at Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute. As a current partner at ERE Associates in Palm Beach Gardens and South Miami, his daily work is dedicated to the practice of psychotherapy and clinical supervision.

A Certified Addictions Professional, a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and an Approved Supervisor through iaedp, Dr. Erlichman is a current member and past president of the board of directors of iaedp and co-author of the first major revision of the certification requirements for eating disorders professionals. He is a Fellow of iaedp and a member of the Awards and Conference Planning Committees. Dr. Erlichman also has written various professional articles and appeared on many television and radio programs.
