Lion's Heart is offering a range of sponsorship opportunities for companies and individuals that will enable more than 4,600 teens across the country to develop meaningful life skills through leadership opportunities and philanthropic experiences.
Mission Viejo, California (PRWEB) November 05, 2015
Lion's Heart, a nationwide volunteer platform for 6th – 12th grade students, is now making it easy to pay it forward this holiday season with a gift that truly keeps on giving. The organization announced today it is offering a range of sponsorship opportunities for companies and individuals that will enable more than 4,600 teens across the country to develop meaningful life skills through leadership opportunities and philanthropic experiences. Lion's Heart is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit so all donations are tax-deductible.
Unlike other service organizations, Lion’s Heart Members do not perform fundraising. This ensures that all time and energy is spent serving the community. Annual Membership dues are the non-profit’s only source of income, and hardship discounts are offered to those who are not financially able to participate in the program. In 2015 alone, Lion’s Heart awarded more than $8,900 in scholarship dues.
“Lion’s Heart welcomes every 6th-12th grade student into the program regardless of ability to pay the dues,” said Terry Corwin, Founder and Executive Director at Lion’s Heart. “We believe it’s important to foster a passion for service in the next generation, and we are committed to providing teens with the tools needed to volunteer in ways that are meaningful to them.”
To offset operational costs and ensure the future of the organization, Lion’s Heart is offering sponsorship opportunities that range from covering Membership dues to underwriting the creation of a Lion’s Heart Android phone application. A full list of sponsorship opportunities is available at https://www.lionsheartservice.org/donate.aspx. All donations are tax deductible and are greatly appreciated.
About Lion’s Heart
Founded in 2004, Lion's Heart is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit teen volunteer platform available to 6th – 12th grade students. The organization instills the value of community service in its Members, providing meaningful life skills through leadership opportunities and philanthropic experiences. Over the years, Members have performed a combined total of more than 425,000 hours of volunteer hours, which equates to more than $9,000,000 in societal value.
Lion’s Heart, which is headquartered in Southern California, has grown to more than 47 chapters across 10 states, and is actively expanding its reach by adding new chapters across the country. Chapters have between three and twenty teens and are organized by gender, grade, and location. Though each group has a parent Class Coordinator, the teens elect their own officers, lead their own meetings, and decide how to serve their community – with no fundraising.
