SILICON VALLEY, Calif. (PRWEB) November 10, 2015
International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Françoise Gilbert will be speaking this week for the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) Legal Affairs Council during a webinar held Nov. 10 from 1:00–2 p.m. EST.
Gilbert will be speaking on the topic of ad blocking trends, which allow Internet users to block advertisements published on a given website. Several cases have been filed in the United States and in Germany. The webinar will discuss which legal theories were presented in the various cases, how the German courts addressed these arguments, and how these various theories would potentially be addressed by U.S. courts.
Gilbert focuses her practice on U.S. and global data privacy and security in a wide variety of markets, including, among others, e-commerce, cloud computing, big data, connected devices, robots, and other emerging technologies. Her clients include public or multinational entities, cloud service providers, big data analytics companies, connected device developers, B2C and B2B businesses, publishers, Internet stores, insurance companies, financial institutions, manufacturers, service providers, trade associations, non-profit organizations, software developers, and others.
