Comedian Donzilla Don Tjernagel raises thousands for The Oelwein Celebrations

Comedian Donzilla Don Tjernagel raised thousands for hometown organization with his live stand-up comedy show at Luigi's Restaurant in Oelwein Iowa on Saturday, November 7th. The room was sold to capacity with over 100 people turned away. The event was initially to be held at the Williams Center in Oelwein Iowa which would have accommodated a crowd twice the size, and doubled the amount the organization would have received.

"I am very happy they had the event at Luigi's. They are family friends and were welcoming and appreciative to host the event. Great people." Said Tjernagel

The money was raised for The Oelwein Celebrations, which is the organization the puts together the summer parade and park events annually.

"I loved the parade and fireworks when I was Younger. I hope to bring my son to it at sometime. I was very lucky to grow up in an area with such great people and I have many wonderful memories from the town of Oelwein. Last saturday was definitely another one of those moments that I will cherish." Don Tjernagel.

Donzilla will now begin work on a new Video on Demand special that will be filmed live at the Coralville Civic Center in Coralville, Iowa on Friday May 20th 2016. It will be the comedian's 7th original comedy production.
