SEMPO Launches 2015 Search Marketer Salary Survey

"With the continuing evolution of our industry, and the growing appreciation of the importance of search and digital marketing to the corporate bottom line, it will be interesting to see any trends in compensation since our 2013 survey."

SEMPO, the leading international, non-profit organization for the search and digital marketing profession, has launched the 2015 edition of its survey to assess the current state of compensation of search marketing professionals in relation to region, experience and responsibly. The survey is open to all search and digital marketing professionals, both in-house and agency employees. In an important addition, this year's survey is also open to and will separately tabulate and compare responses from the search industry ecosystem, which includes vendors, suppliers, publishers, and other entities.

Participants are not required to be SEMPO members.

The survey is available online, and all responses are anonymous. All participants will receive a free summary report, and they may enter a drawing to win one of five $25 American Express vouchers. The complete survey results will be available to SEMPO members at no charge whether they participate or not.

"We urge search professionals around the world to respond – the broader the participation, the more valuable the survey results will be, both to individual practitioners and to hiring companies."

Data to be collected includes salary ranges of SEO and SEM jobs, from entry level to executive, salary variations by geographic markets, and the total compensation package beyond salaries, such as bonuses, benefits and perks. The survey will also capture responsibilities, the number of accounts and number of people managed, and search marketing budget size.
