BRAMPTON, ON (PRWEB) November 12, 2015
Serving four districts with over 42,000 meters in the state of Colorado, La Plata Electric Association (LPEA) was seeking to implement a superior SCADA technology that provides fast, real-time monitoring and control distribution of their system. They were in need of an experienced and trustworthy vendor with a strong reputation for high-quality customer service and effective technical support.
LPEA found their solution in Survalent Technology’s Survalent ONE™ ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System). After careful evaluation and consideration of several vendors, LPEA chose Survalent ONE™ SCADA for its advanced functionality, integrated technology platform, reliable customer support services and ability to work seamlessly with their existing equipment.
“Survalent has been very supportive throughout our whole SCADA system evaluation process. I was able to experience using Survalent’s SCADA system hardware, software and technical support before purchasing it. It made the decision to go with Survalent pretty easy,” states Dave Gebhardt, Major Projects Engineer at LPEA.
LPEA’s new dual redundant system includes the most advanced, latest graphical user interface, SmartVU, and MultiSpeak interface for outage analysis. Also included are Remote Alarm functions that provide the ability to send an e-mail, paging, SNMP, and SMS text messages for specified alarms. The addition of the IED Wizard allows LPEA to create automated database points, and Control Panel for quick configuration and access to field devices.
With the implementation of Survalent ONE™ ADMS, LPEA is equipped with the most advanced monitoring and control system that provides fast response and electricity to their members. The system investment also provides the optional benefit of adding future Survalent applications that will further enhance their Smart Grid management capabilities.
