The Folio: Marketing Awards recognize groundbreaking marketing efforts in magazine media channels.

Started in 2009, the Security Products New Product of the Year Award program honors the outstanding product development achievements of security equipment manufacturers whose products are considered particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve security. Since its inception, the program has continued to grow in success. Unlike many other industry awards programs, New Product of the Year winners are selected by an independent judging panel. This distinction makes the awards more meaningful.

“Being recognized as a finalist for this award is truly an honor,” said Susan May, group marketing director for 1105 Media’s Security, Safety, Health & Facilities Group, of which Security Products is a part. “Our team looks forward to the New Product of the Year program every year. In addition to being an opportunity to help introduce new technology, new solutions and product enhancements, the program allows us to develop new and continue established positive relationships with industry companies.”

“Security Products has long been an authority on new products for the security industry, so the awards have developed a highly respected reputation,” added Kevin O'Grady, president & group publisher of 1105 Media’s Security, Safety, Health & Facilities Group. “As the program grows, we continue to add benefits for entrants and more content about the winning products for our readers. All entrants were posted on our website, https://security-today.com and included in the September 2015 issue of Security Products magazine. The website currently features our most recent winners, who will also be highlighted in the December 2015 issue of Security Products magazine.”
