As the busiest shopping season of the year approaches, landlords across the country are preparing for an even bigger influx of packages. This year, consumers plan to do nearly half of all their holiday shopping online and more than one in five smartphone users will shop from their mobile device, according to a new study from the National Retail Federation. That is why today, Package Concierge, developer of the digital package locker solution for multifamily and student housing, announced it is preparing to launch a mobile app that delivers anytime, anywhere access to its web-based system that helps residents and landlords manage and receive packages.

With the new Package Concierge mobile app, customers will be notified as soon as the carrier has delivered or retrieved a package to and from the system, and users can now use the barcode feature to retrieve packages and manage account information from their device.

We anticipate the app will help us continue to improve upon our ability to provide residents with a better way to manage their packages.”

This news comes on the heels of the company’s enhanced offering that allows apartment residents to send and return packages through their system. The company also recorded impressive growth this year, reaching 1,000,000 package transactions without a single service call or package lost and expanding service to 24 states.

Package Concierge is showcasing its technology and package lockers at booth 212 at this week’s NMHC OpTech Conference & Exposition in Dallas, TX.
