Coherix Inc., a global leader in 3 Dimensional (3D) Machine Vision, today announced the launch of Coherix Europe GmbH. The Munich-based GmbH was formed in order to improve support to European users, and to accelerate the company’s business expansion in the European market.
“Coherix is a vital technology supplier to the global automotive industry, and Germany is one of the global centers of automotive excellence. Any company serious about participating in the automotive industry must have a presence here,” said Dwight Carlson, CEO and Chairman of Coherix. The company has been supplying assembly verification and error proofing vision products, including Tru3D™ and ShaPix3D®, to automotive suppliers and systems integrators in Germany.
Featuring robust 3D machine vision products, the company recently added a new product line: Predator3D™. This new 3D machine vision system is designed to monitor and control the dispensing process of structural adhesives and sealant beads on automotive transmission and body parts to avoid leaks and assure structural integrity.
“It is Coherix’s mission to provide the best products and service to solve our customers’ manufacturing challenges, and our new German presence will enable us to work more efficiently with customers and partners,” said Fred Stronk, Managing Director of Coherix Europe GmbH, who oversees the company’s operations in Europe. “It is an important step for Coherix, and I look forward to improving our relationships and cooperation with existing partners and introducing Coherix solutions to more companies.”
After receiving $12 million in funding in September 2015, Coherix has been expanding in the global market.
