The Lester Senior Housing Community in Whippany, N.J., one of four retirement communities owned and managed by the Jewish Community Housing Corporation of Metropolitan New Jersey (JCHC) has won the silver in Best in Senior Living/Senior Care in the 2015 Best of Essex contest by readers of Suburban Essex magazine. The winners will be announced in the December issue of the magazine, which is published by Vicinity Media Group.
“We are honored to once again be recognized by Suburban Essex readers for the high level of service and attention we provide to our seniors,” said Harold Colton-Max, CEO of the JCHC, in recognition of the residence’s first place win in last year’s voting. “We continually strive to bring an enriching lifestyle to residents in all four of our Essex and Morris county communities.” In 2014, its sister community, Village Apartments of the Jewish Federation in South Orange won the silver medal.
The Best of Essex awardees are nominated by readers of the magazine that reflect their “best of” in 50-plus categories. This year, more than 14,000 people voted on nominees and the winners will appear in a special section of the magazine.
