Britannica Names Maria Fiore Chief Financial Officer; International Finance Executive Joins Educational Publisher

Encyclopaedia Britannica®, Inc., today announced that it has appointed Maria Fiore chief financial officer.

Fiore is an international finance executive with more than twenty-five years of experience with multinational public and privately held companies. A native of Italy who grew up in South Africa, Fiore began her career with Deloitte & Touche in Pretoria. Most recently she was CFO, vice president, global strategic and financial planning, with NCH Marketing Services, Inc., in Deerfield, Ill., where she was responsible, along with the CEO, for all strategy, financial planning and tactical execution of key initiatives.

Before that, she was corporate treasurer and risk manager with Valassis Communications, Inc., of Livonia, Mich. She held previous positions with Teksid Aluminum North America and Ford Motor Company.

Fiore is a graduate of the University of South Africa.
