Upon presenting Horwitz with the award, Jaclyn Stacy, associate director of external relations at LAF, remarked, “It is safe to say that LAF would never have reached the number of people it did this year without the passion and dedication Barry Horwitz demonstrated for our work by raising visibility for us across a broad swath of the Chicago legal community in 2015.”
Cedillos received the Corporate Advocate Award for her advocacy on behalf of LAF in securing corporate support for their work. In 2014, Cedillos received the Corporate Ambassador Award.
According to LAF, for the past 40 years it has provided free professional legal services to people living in poverty in metropolitan Chicago.
