Françoise Gilbert, a shareholder at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been selected as one of The National Law Journal’s “Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Trailblazers” for 2015.

Françoise Gilbert, a shareholder at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been selected as one of The National Law Journal’s “Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Trailblazers” for 2015. Gilbert is among 50 legal professionals from across the country recognized by The National Law Journal for their contributions and achievements in the field of cybersecurity and data privacy.

The National Law Journal highlighted Gilbert’s early pioneering work in telemedicine and the associated privacy and security risks, in addition to her work in cloud computing. It also reflected on her current focus on the Internet of Things (IoT) and Connected Objects (CO), as well as her work on global data privacy and security matters. Gilbert was honored at an event in New York Dec. 16.

Gilbert focuses her practice on U.S. and global data privacy and security in a wide variety of markets, including, among others, Internet, cloud computing, big data, connected devices, robots, and other emerging technologies. Her clients include public or multinational entities, cloud service providers, big data analytics companies, connected device developers, B2C and B2B businesses, publishers, Internet stores, insurance companies, financial institutions, manufacturers, service providers, trade associations, nonprofit organizations, software developers, and others.
