Steve LaZar, Managing Director of Environmental Services and Technology, joins the RJ Lee Group Team
Monroeville, PA (PRWEB) December 21, 2015 -- RJ Lee Group, Inc. is happy to announce that Steve LaZar, Managing Director of Environmental Services and Technology, LLC, (ESAT), has been engaged to work with the company to provide Business Development services. ESAT is a growing consortium of Environmental Small Business firms for which Steve provides Business Development and Program Management services. Members of the ESAT Consortium receive preferred consideration to support projects and programs managed by Consortium members, as well as increased exposure to the marketplace.
Steve brings extensive technical sales experience to RJ Lee Group, with expertise in chemical and radiochemical analytical services, nuclear and defense, environmental engineering, environmental compliance and remediation services, in addition to experience in the chemical, aerospace and oil and gas industries. He has consistently led nationally recognized providers of environmental analytical services, including TestAmerica and Lockheed Martin Analytical Services, to exceed revenue goals. Steve is a facilitator of winning capture teams, most recently with the acquisition the DOE Hanford 222S On Site Radiological Laboratory for the WAI/TestAmerica team.
As Department of Energy (DOE) Program Manager for TestAmerica, Steve captured contracts from most of the DOE Weapons Complex sites, such as Hanford, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Nevada Test Site, and Idaho National Laboratory, as well as for the DOE Legacy Management Program. He also managed the acquisition of major Department of Defense contracts, including support for the USACE, FUSRAP and Navy programs. Steve also led international contract capture efforts, including support for remediation at the damaged TEPCO Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant in Japan and support for Nuclear Power compliance and remediation in Canada.
Steve managed groundbreaking experiments with mycoremediation of radioactive cesium-contaminated soil conduced at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as part of the DOE Bikini Atoll studies. He has been a guest on Talk Radio AM 760, Hawaii’s Tomorrow Talk Radio, discussing approaches for the investigation of chemical contamination in Hanalei Bay, Kauai, HA, as it relates to the growing epidemic of coral disease in the bay. He is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Energy, Technology, and Environmental Business Association.
Steve’s understanding of the technologies and approaches required to solve complex environmental problems and the loyal client relationships he brings, built from over 30 years in the industry, will play a key role in RJ Lee Group’s future growth.
