LinkNow Media, a Montreal-based web design company, has just completed their fourth annual fundraising campaign for The Batshaw Youth and Family Centres Foundation. Working together, employees and their families have raised over $10,000 and donated over 250 gifts to the foundation for distribution to disadvantaged children.
Every holiday season, LinkNow Media works with a local organization called The Batshaw Foundation, a non-profit with the mission “to help break the cycle of neglect, abuse, and failure experienced by many children aged 0-18 years and their families. The Foundation supports the clients of the Batshaw Youth and Family Centres, living on the island of Montreal, when public funds are not available.”
The Batshaw Foundation intervenes when children are victims of abuse, neglect, abandonment, or have serious behavior problems. The Foundation uses its funds for the direct benefit of children, whether they are living with their own families, in foster care, or in residential placement.
The annual LinkNow Media Talent Show in benefit of The Batshaw Foundation was held on December 11th. This year, LinkNow Media employees and their families raised over $10,000 and collected over 250 gifts to be distributed to children throughout the Montreal area.
"We want to extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the talent show or purchased gifts," said LinkNow Media president Wesley Mendelovitch. "We’d also like to thank our partner CCDS and Frédérick Corey of Cominar, as well as our food sponsor, Domino’s Pizza, for generously donating food to be sold at the show. We would also like to thank Jack Loeb from Avanti le Spa, Laurie Trafikant, Anna Kokogiannakis from WIA, Mia Hollander from foxyandelvis.com, and Jon Borshy from Le Yoga Chez Vous for donating items to our auction to raise funds."
LinkNow Media plans to continue supporting The Batshaw Foundation in the future, and hopes to raise even more money in 2016.
