“The proposition is that you should learn how to respond wisely to things that happen to you rather than just reacting blindly, and that my friends is a superpower.” Dan Harris ABC New Anchor & Author
Worcester, MA (PRWEB) May 07, 2015
The mindfulness event celebrates the first United Nations adopted International Yoga Day and coincides with Father’s Day and will be great fun for the whole family connecting the “superpowers” of mindfulness and yoga. The event aims to raise awareness of mindfulness as a tool for improving learning, health and well being through yoga and the arts, in support of Ivy Child's mission to enrich communities and the children they raise. Dan Harris, ABC News anchor and author of 10% Happier is one of many who have touted the benefits of mindfulness saying, “The proposition is that you should learn how to respond wisely to things that happen to you rather than just reacting blindly, and that my friends is a superpower.” Through multicultural programs and workshops, participants will get one step closer to becoming a mindful superhero with each breath and yoga pose. A wide variety of entertainment, food, vendor tables and interactive sessions will be offered as well. The cost for participants who register early is only $10. Businesses, organizations, families and individuals are invited to participate in the Yogathon and support Ivy Child’s mindfulness initiatives. There are plenty of ways to get involved! You can attend, sponsor, donate, or volunteer. Vendor table opportunities are also available at $300 per corporate table. For tickets and more info on the mindfulness event of the year visit Ivy Child International website. Pre-register today to secure your spot at the Mindful Kids Yogathon!
