Mercy Assisted Care is pleased to welcome Denise Schrader, RN, MSN, as its new leader of Mercy Home Health Care, Mercy Hospice Care and Mercy Durable Medical Equipment (DME).

Javon Bea President and CEO Mercy Health System - Schrader is responsible for using her quality improvement and organizational development expertise in Mercy Assisted Care’s day-to-day operations. Denise also provides leadership and direction for the financial, budget, marketing and clinical management of Mercy Hospice Care, Mercy Home Health Care and Mercy Durable Medical Equipment.

Denise has 31 years of experience in health care administration with the last 20 in home care administration. In addition to her new role at Mercy Assisted Care, Denise also serves as president and executive director of Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) in Rockford, Illinois and vice president of care continuum and wellness at Rockford Health System.

Denise has a master’s degree in nursing administration from Clarkson College, Omaha, Nebraska, and bachelor’s of science in nursing from Truman State University. She also received advanced certification in nursing administration from American Nurses Credentialing Association. Denise also serves as board president of the National Association of Home Care and Hospice.
