We must educate those who are unaware and start a dialogue about the realities of human trafficking,” says Kristen Renton, actress. “I am blessed to have a voice that is able to reach many people, and I will continue to use that voice to raise awareness."
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 11, 2016
The Dream Builders Project, a Los Angeles non profit, and actress Kristen Renton are teaming up for an anti human trafficking campaign, #ActAgainstHT. Through a short, five question interview and by utilizing her public influence, Kristen will educate and start a conversation about human trafficking within her extensive fan base.
According to the State of California’s Department of Justice, California is home to three of the FBI’s 13 highest child sex trafficking areas in the nation; Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego. These cities are part of a $32 billion industry that enslaves approximately 30 million people around the world. 80% of these victims are women and girls.
“It is a reality for far too many; we must educate those who are unaware and start a dialogue about the realities of human trafficking,” says Kristen Renton, actress. “I am blessed to have a voice that is able to reach many people, and I will continue to use that voice to raise awareness about this horrible epidemic.”
Proceeds from the campaign will be donated to assist victims and survivors of human trafficking to reestablish their position in the community. The Dream Builders Project is partnering with other non profits and organizations including Not For Sale, CAST LA, and Los Angeles Police Department Department’s Human Trafficking Unit.
Kristen’s role in the #ActAgainstHT campaign is to utilize her public fame and influence to educate the community about the extent of human trafficking and its affect on our society as a whole, and encourage her fans to join the fight. Kristen is also the lead model in the campaign’s signature photoshoot directed by photographer, Ash Gupta from 838 Media Group.

About The Dream Builders Project:
The Dream Builders Project was founded because of a passion: a passion for its community, a concern for humanity, and a frustration with wastefulness in spending. Our mission is to grow and develop the community with a rebelliousness and determination that will result in change.
The Dream Builders Project grows and develops the community by aiding, funding, and raising awareness about many of the city’s key social issues, including child abuse and neglect, poverty, homelessness, education, and human trafficking. We are not restricted to any particular group or cause but are purely dedicated to the improvement of humanity. And with zero overhead and a commitment to give as much as possible, 100% of proceedings from every campaign is donated to the cause. http://www.thedreambuildersproject.com
