Nelson Releases New Resource on Salary and Hiring Trends for California Employees

Nelson, one the largest independent staffing companies in the United States, today announced the publication of its official 2016 Advisor–a resource dedicated to helping California employers understand competitive salary ranges and overcome recruiting and retention obstacles. Uniquely covering only the California marketplace, Nelson’s 2016 Advisor includes salary data for more than 200 positions in 12 markets throughout the state.

  • 45% of manufacturers cite a lack of qualified workers as the top threat to manufacturing growth for the second consecutive year.
  • When asked what they want in a job, the top answer for tech engineers was “good work/life balance.”
  • The expected percentage growth in employment through 2022 for financial analysts is 16%.
  • 68% of U.S. IT companies rate the hiring climate for technical positions as either challenging or very challenging.
  • LinkedIn profiles containing the keyword phrase “content marketing” grew at a rate of 168% over the past two years.
