Toronto, CN (PRWEB) March 01, 2016
North Plains announces the launch of Xinet 18.1, its digital asset management (DAM) system designed to help companies, in-house creative departments and advertising agencies to more effectively manage documents, images, video and other content in an omni-channel environment.
By automating many of the tasks around creating, reviewing, approving, sharing and accessing digital content, Xinet 18.1 streamlines workflow and improves productivity for in-house agencies and reduces unbillable work undertaken by creative agencies, which improves ROI.
Xinet 18.1 includes both new features as well as major enhancements to existing features. Key highlights include:
● Support for the InnoDB storage engine to prevent database queries from being stuck in a queue behind others, which will improve performance dramatically particularly for systems that encounter high traffic.
● A brand new business rules engine, which has been incorporated into the backend of Xinet with a powerful feature that enables customers to filter assets seen on the web based on business rules.
● A long list of usability enhancements that have been made to the frontend of the product for both the
Marquee site and production tool: Xinet Pilot. Marquee has been updated with multiple new features to bring it on par with the legacy Exhibit site. While the frontend of Xinet Pilot has been completely refreshed and updated with features such as
○ New metadata panel, navigator and zooming tool.
○ Drag-and-Drop functionality for uploads of multiple files and multiple folders.
Xinet Pilot behaves much more like a regular Mac application and features optimized responsive design patterns to be used in various window sizes. It can even be viewed as a small palette inside the Adobe products.
All the above are highlights from a very extensive list of new features and bug fixes.
Integration and customization continue to be attributes that set Xinet apart from other solutions. The software works seamlessly with the most popular and widely used applications in the creative environment, while Xinet’s open API makes it simple for customers to create their own add-on features.
Says Hassan Kotob, CEO North Plains, “Xinet has long-standing history in DAM and sets the gold standard for creative workflow. Xinet 18.1 is part of our commitment to continually evolve the existing product line and support the developing needs of our global customer base. Many of the new features and enhancements within Xinet 18.1 have been introduced based on specific feedback from our worldwide customer base. Xinet already has the largest user base worldwide and with this new release, we hope to extend the product footprint to new customers too.”
