Walch High School Math announced today publication of Support Supplements that expand its popular Common Core Integrated Math I, II, and III programs to better meet the needs of all high school math students.

The new resources, include instructional materials and student workbooks for Math I Support and Math II Support. Teacher resources, regularly priced at $695 are available now and will be offered at a special introductory price of $495 until the end of March 2016.

“We know that especially during the transition to CCSS, students don’t always come from middle school with all the prerequisites in place. This gives teachers the tools they need to fill those gaps,” says Jill Rosenblum, Vice President of Education for Walch High School Math. “We developed these to ensure that students succeed and stay on track.”

The Support Supplements address the prerequisite skills necessary for success in Math I and II and recommend instructional strategies to support struggling students. Math I Support provides complete lessons for 47 middle school standards identified as prerequisites and Math II Support addresses 70 prerequisite middle school and Math I standards. They are presented in a flexible, problem-based instructional model that parallels other Walch materials. In addition to review and remediation, each Support Lesson offers activities employing manipulatives, graphic organizers or other modeling tools to introduce and pre-teach the new instructional topics from Math I or II.

Support Programs provide side-by-side resources to coordinate with the core course curriculum and can be used as full, year long Support courses; in Special Education, or ELL classes; in Math Labs or RTI programs; or for individuals or groups requiring additional support.
