Health is where we live, work, play, pray, learn and shop. Health/care is indeed everywhere in this new era of truly consumer-driven health.

Jane Sarasohn-Kahn, MA (Econ.), MHSA, has redesigned and re-launched her websites at The Health Populi blog and her consultancy at JaneSarasohnKahn.com.
“As an advisor to the healthcare industry for over two decades, my client portfolio has evolved to include companies and organizations that go beyond the legacy healthcare system of hospitals, physicians, health plans, and biopharmaceuticals, to include consumer goods, electronics and other new entrants looking to help people bolster health and wellness,” Sarasohn-Kahn explained.
As consumers take on more financial and clinical risk, through the adoption of high-deductible health plans, HSAs, and more out-of-pocket payment for health care services and products, the healthcare industry is becoming more retail-facing. Sarasohn-Kahn’s blog at Health Populi (founded in 2007) and her advisory practice are helping both new industry entrants and traditional players navigate this changing landscape. A key driving force in this sea-change is the emergence of mobile platforms and broadband communications, which enables care to be delivered “everywhere,” and especially outside of the traditional walls of hospitals and doctors’ offices.
Sarasohn-Kahn has been a consultant to the health/care industry since receiving her graduate degrees in economics and public health at the University of Michigan. She serves clients in the U.S. and Europe, spanning the entire health ecosystem: technology, bio/life sciences, providers, plans, financial services, consumer goods, and not-for-profits. She advises clients on strategy via environmental analysis, scenario and strategic planning, and health policy analysis. She sits on many advisory boards and is a frequent speaker on consumers, health and technology, listed with AHA’s Speakers Express and Executive Speakers Bureau.
“My mantra is that health is where we live, work, play, pray, learn and shop. Health/care is indeed everywhere in this new era of truly consumer-driven health,” Sarasohn-Kahn believes.
