Someone once said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. If that is true, then the GOP establishment certainly fits that bill.

New York, New York: Today, Alex Figliolia Jr. released the latest in a series of blogs questioning GOP motivation and tactics trying to push Donald Trump out of the race for United States President.
The blog, entitled, "Another One Bites the Dust," discusses the role GOP leadership played in Marco Rubio losing the Florida primary, dropping out of the race for President and his decision to leave politics for good.
Says Alex Figliolia Jr. about the blog, "When you compare Senator Rubio to Governor Kasich, the difference is night and day. Kasich didn't fall into the trap of criticizing Donald Trump. Instead he takes the high road which makes the GOP voters recognize him as a real contender for President. Rubio, on the other hand, got all caught up in the fact that GOP insiders were considering him as a viable candidate and he went off the deep end making jokes about Donald Trump. Those jokes did him in for good. Frankly, it was difficult to watch. It reminded me of the scene in the movie 'Carrie' where all the cool kids pretended to like her just so they could embarrass her by dumping a bucket of pig blood on her head. Only difference is that Carrie had the last laugh in the movie."
The blog goes on to remind the reader that every candidate who chose to criticize Donald Trump publicly wound up out of the race. Says Alex Figliolia Jr., "Someone once said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. If that is true, then the GOP establishment certainly fits that bill. In their zeal to undo Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie and Marco Rubio all came out strong against Trump, claiming that they were giving the GOP frontrunner for President a taste of his own medicine, and after they did, GOP primary voters time and again handed Trump a handy win while turning their backs on the aforementioned candidates who ultimately dropped out."
Alex Figliolia Jr. ends his blog by stating, "Open your eyes GOP leadership because if you don't, you will be digging graves for the lost political lives of many more of your favorite candidates."
