Dorian Drake International has announced the launch of a new business unit dedicated to the marketing and sale of medical products in markets outside the United States and Canada. Dorian Drake International is an export management company that manages international sales and marketing for manufacturers selling in markets outside the United States.

“Dorian Drake provides me with the resources to travel the territory aggressively and the support staff to ensure a high level of service to our medical industry customers and manufacturer clients,” Munoz said.

Dorian Drake International has announced the launch of a new business unit dedicated to the marketing and sale of medical products in markets outside the United States and Canada.

The firm’s new Medical Products Group will focus initially in Latin America and the Caribbean, where the sales effort will be led by Jorge Munoz, an industry veteran and former owner of another medical products exporter, Major Medical International. Munoz agreed to merge his operation into Dorian Drake International late last year.

Under Munoz’s guidance, Dorian Drake has already secured exclusive export management agreements for Latin America and the Caribbean with four medical products manufacturers and is negotiating agreements with several others that Dorian Drake expects to close soon.

Ed Dorian Jr., Dorian Drake’s president, said the firm’s move into the medical products field was no accident. “We like the medical products business,” Dorian said. “It’s a big industry, with a lot of high-quality U.S. manufacturers that are looking to grow their export sales. It’s also an industry that uses reps and values the services they can provide.”

Dorian emphasized also that the firm intends to expand the new group’s geographic scope over time into other export regions. “It’s no secret that the Middle East is a growth market internationally for U.S.-manufactured medical products,” Dorian said. “That will almost surely be the next market we target for expansion.”
