Inspired by the National Park Service Centennial, Best Western® Hotels & Resorts has launched its latest sweepstakes, Best Western Rewards® “100 Years of National Parks,” which encourages travelers to discover the natural beauty of the greatest national parks across the U.S. and Canada, and Best Western hotels along the way. With 230 Best Western hotels located within 10 miles of a national park, from Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada, to Everglades National Park in Florida, this sweepstakes demonstrates that “Wherever Life Takes You, Best Western is There.®”
The sweepstakes will award one grand-prize winner 100,000 Best Western Rewards points, five nights at a Best Western-branded hotel, a $500 MasterCard gift card and a $500 gas card. Participants will also have the opportunity to earn one of five $100 Best Western travel cards weekly during the contest period March 21-April 9, 2016.
To enter the sweepstakes, travelers can visit the “National Parks” tab on the Best Western Hotels & Resorts Facebook page, share their favorite national park and complete a brief entry form in which participants can also enroll in Best Western Rewards. The sweepstakes can also be accessed online at followbw.com/nationalparks.
“In addition to our recent brand refresh, Best Western is celebrating 100 years of national parks in 2016. We went on several journeys throughout the U.S. and Canada to capture the breathtaking beauty of our parks and show today’s traveler that ‘Wherever Life Takes You, Best Western is There,’” said Best Western Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Dorothy Dowling. “Our ’100 Years of National Parks’ campaign showcases the endless opportunities for travelers to explore and find their own personal connection to national parks and today’s Best Western.”
Best Western content creators visited more than 19 national parks in the United States and Canada, including Zion, Haleakala, Kenai Fjords, Banff, Yosemite and Everglades, to show consumers the adventures that await them within a short drive of Best Western hotels. Since the launch of Best Western’s YouMustBeTrippin.com travel blog more than seven years ago, Best Western has been creating content to inform and inspire travelers. Last year, Best Western’s efforts resulted in more than 10 million video views and a 100 percent increase in blog traffic.
Both the “National Parks” Facebook tab and microsite feature dynamic videos highlighting national parks in North America to inspire travel and have travelers dreaming of summer. Best Western’s regional marketing cooperatives led the effort to align the brand’s new tagline and broad geographic distribution with the Centennial celebration.
