Gilbane Building Company is pleased to announce the promotion of Maureen Funke to Business Development Manager based in its Glastonbury, Connecticut office. Maureen joined Gilbane in December of 2014 as a Project Manager and her background in Project Management is deepened by her experience estimating, scheduling and proposing on development projects throughout her career.
“Maureen’s enthusiasm, professionalism and experience in construction operations will add a new dynamic to our Business Development team and support the cultivation of new opportunities, specifically in New Haven, Fairfield County, Bridgeport and Stamford,” noted Jodi Brennan, Vice President of Business Development for Gilbane’s Connecticut business unit. “Maureen understands the vital connection between opportunities for businesses and job growth and being on the front end of economic development in our region.”
Maureen is originally from the Hudson Valley of New York and graduated from The University at Buffalo with a BS in Civil Engineering and has built over $1B in construction projects in the past 15 years. Maureen is a Board Member of Leadership Greater Bridgeport (a program of the BRBC), and Bridgeport Economic Development Corporation, as well as an active member of the BRBC Economic Development Committee and Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee. Maureen also serves as an Advisory Board Member on the Quinnipiac University School of Civil Engineering ABET Advisory Board. Maureen currently resides in West Haven, Connecticut.
