Austin, TX (PRWEB) April 19, 2016
In two weeks, Tiff’s Treats will open its seventh location in the Austin area with its Cedar Park store and a grand opening fundraiser Saturday, April 30 from 9 am to 1 pm at 4701 TX-183A Toll Rd Suite B. This is the 22nd store for Austin-based Tiff’s Treats, the first in the nation to create the warm cookie delivery concept. In its previous 21 store opening events, Tiff’s Treats has raised $95,000 for charities. The Cedar Park store will hold a grand opening fundraiser where Tiff’s Treats will be selling a dozen cookies for only $5 (no call ahead orders). Customers at the opening can purchase up to six one-dozen boxes filled with one of Tiff’s Treats most irresistible flavors: chocolate chip, snickerdoodle or oatmeal raisin, for just $5 a box, to a maximum of 6 boxes purchased per person.
All of the proceeds from this day (up to $5,000) will go to the Neighborhood Longhorns Program, (NLP), an initiative within The University of Texas at Austin Division of Diversity & Community Engagement. NLP is an educational incentive program operated in partnership with UT Athletics and the Austin Independent School District (AISD) for economically disadvantaged elementary and middle school students. The major program objectives are to improve overall grade performance; improve reading, math, science, and language arts skills; increase student retention rates and provide scholarship awards for students to apply towards a college education. Since its founding in 1991, NLP has served more than 83,000 Austin students.
With sales from this event, Tiff’s Treats will be providing 50 college scholarships for economically disadvantaged elementary and middle school students. Former Longhorns Vince Young, Justin Blalock, Quan Cosby, Kasey Studdard will be at the opening beginning at 9 am, Kasey and Quan until 10 am, Vince and Justin until noon.
“As UT alumni ourselves, Tiff and I are especially excited to open Cedar Park with a partnership with the Neighborhood Longhorns Program and have Vince, Justin and Kasey at our opening,” said Leon Chen, co-founder of Tiff’s Treats. “The UT community has been so supportive of us throughout our 17 years, and we love giving Longhorns, and everyone, more ways to get Tiff’s Treats closer to home. We are looking at you Cedar Park!”
“We are thrilled Tiff’s Treats is a supporter of the Neighborhood Longhorns Program. NLP helps nearly 6,000 economically disadvantaged students, grades 2-8, each year improve academically. Without partners like Tiff’s Treats, we couldn’t meet our scholarship goals or provide as many opportunities for these students to visit The University of Texas campus and see what college is all about,” said Patrick K. Patterson, UT Austin assistant vice president for school partnerships.
You can also bring new or gently used books in English or Spanish for children 6-14, and Tiff’s Treats will give you a $5 Tiff's Treats gift card (one gift card per person).
Tiff’s Treats will also be giving away all sorts of prizes at this grand opening including gift cards to local area restaurants and shops, randomly inserted into boxes of cookies. The first 10 people in line at the 9 am opening will get a $100 Tiff’s Treats gift card, the next 10 will get a $50 gift card, next 10 a $25 gift card, and the next 10 will get a $10 gift card. Everyone who attends has a chance to win free cookies for a year!
The Cedar Park location is at 4701 TX-183A Toll Rd Suite B Cedar Park, TX 78613 and will be open for business full time Sunday, May 1 at 10 am.
The seven Austin area stores combine with 15 others, five in the Houston area, three in San Antonio and seven in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, the hometown of both founders. Tiff’s Treats will open its first store outside the state of Texas in the first half of 2016.
This aggressive expansion is all part of the strategic plan for Tiff’s Treats and funded by overall business growth as well as a $14+ million investment the company received in mid 2015 from investors impressed by the success of the brand to date, and the opportunity for it to grow.
