D Magazine Names Six Kane Russell Coleman & Logan PC Attorneys to “Best Lawyers in Dallas 2016” List

KRCL attorneys Joe Coleman, Joseph Friedman, Ray Kane, Mike Logan, Gordon Russell and Wade McClure have been selected for inclusion on D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers in Dallas 2016” list.

This year D Magazine has named six directors from Kane Russell Coleman & Logan PC to the “Best Lawyers in Dallas” list for their achievements across multiple practice areas. Joe Coleman and Joseph Friedman were selected for Bankruptcy and Workout, Ray Kane for Real Estate, Mike Logan for Business Litigation, Gordon Russell in Banking and, and Wade McClure for Tort Product and Medical Liability: Defense. Out of these six attorneys, Joe Coleman and Wade McClure have been selected for five consecutive years.

Joe Coleman is a founding director of KRCL and chairs the Insolvency, Bankruptcy & Creditor Rights Section. He has represented 38 Creditor Committees in 16 states, confirmed in excess of 12 plans of reorganization representing both private and public debtors, and served as counsel for many lenders and other secured creditors in Chapter 11 and other insolvency-related matters.

Joseph Friedman has practiced for 25 years and gained an in-depth understanding of representing creditors, court-appointed committees and debtors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. He has earned many honors and awards over the years for his successes.

A founding director and head of the Real Estate section at KRCL, Ray Kane has gained a reputation for assertively representing developers and operators in all aspects of development ransaction, including land use, planning, construction and lending maters, as well as the representation of landlords and tenants in retail, office and industrial development and leasing transactions. He also maintains a special practice emphasis in the areas of commercial, environmental and agricultural transactions, including farm and ranch operations, conservation easements and mitigation banking.

Mike Logan, also a founding director of the firm and head of the Litigation Section, has significant experience in federal and state courts representing privately held businesses, financial institutions, publicly traded companies and insurers in tort, real estate, construction, energy and complex business litigation. He also represents physicians in a variety of health care matters, including medical peer review proceedings.

Gordon Russell is the head of the Transactional group at KRCL and also a founding director. He has concentrated his practice on banking and financial institutions and real estate. Gordon is well known in commercial lending, real estate development and finance -- especially in restaurant real estate, global trade and fashion law.

Wade McClure has carved out a niche by representing manufacturers in products liability matters throughout Texas and the Southwest. He is a seasoned trial lawyer representing Fortune 500 companies in products liability, construction, and trade secret litigation. Wade also represents public and private companies in business and commercial disputes including UCC issues, contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary, and non-compete agreements. He is one of the rare attorneys in the country to be Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by both the Texas Board of Legal Specializations and the National Board of Trial Advocacy and Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law.

The annual “Best Lawyers in Dallas” guide is based on nominations submitted by lawyers from throughout the DFW area. These nominations are then evaluated by an exclusive panel of preeminent local lawyers and the publication’s editors, who compile a final list of outstanding Texas attorneys from more than 35 practice areas.
