Women’s Leadership Institute at The Manhattanville School of Business To Host Second Annual Women's Leadership Summit

“Lead with Power and Purpose” conference to empower and enlighten female professionals with inspiring keynotes and practical workshops

The one-day summit will feature some of the nation’s top female business leaders, interactive workshops, and a networking reception designed to enhance professionals’ leadership skills and inspire them to reach their fullest potential.

The Women’s Leadership Institute at The Manhattanville School of Business will host its second annual Women’s Leadership Summit: Lead with Power and Purpose at the campus’ historic Reid Castle on June 8. The one-day summit will feature some of the nation’s top female business leaders, interactive workshops, and a networking reception designed to enhance professionals’ leadership skills and inspire them to reach their fullest potential.

"It is the perfect opportunity for women to discuss and learn how to take charge of their own destinies," said Dr. Anthony R. Davidson, Dean of the School.

The 2016 summit will focus on helping women effectively lead large organizations, entrepreneurial businesses, and nonprofit organizations through thoughtful discussions including business development, strategic planning, and current issues affecting female professionals. This year’s keynote speakers are Dr. Jenne Britell, board chairman of United Rentals, Inc; Kim Azzarelli, cofounder of Seneca Women; and Carol Fishman Cohen, CEO and cofounder of iRelaunch. The summit will also offer a special presentation by Catalyst, Inc., “Inclusive Leadership: What separates a great manager from a mediocre one.”

“The depth and breadth of topics and opportunities targeted specifically toward women that will be featured at this year’s conference is unprecedented in the Hudson Valley and Connecticut,” said Kathryn Meany, director of the Women’s Leadership Institute at The Manhattanville School of Business, "and supports our mission of advancing the personal and professional development of women."

The second annual Women’s Leadership Summit will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Reid Castle on the Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY and conclude at 5 p.m. An hour-long networking reception will follow. Early-bird pricing for the summit is $295 per person through May 22; regular pricing is $395. Special pricing for the Manhattanville community and alumni, nonprofit organizations, and corporations is also available.
